My abilities, sporting and artistic, have always flickered somewhere between competent and mediocre. There can be no better basis for undertaking a year of challenging tasks. So this is a blog recording that year. I don't really know how it will come together but strongly suspect it will go the way of most blogs, an enthusiastic start tailing off into a dead webpage.
